The strange thing about FishVille is that you need to get FishVille sand dollars to get the coolest fish, tanks, and decorations. Although you play the game alone you must have a lot of neighbors to be successful. The key to FishVille and many other Zynga games on Facebook for that matter is to get neighbors and get lots of them. With lots of neighbors you can create an effortless stream of gifts and goodies. Of course you need to reciprocate and send gifts too, but that's part of the fun right? Go join FishVille fan groups on FaceBook and you're on your way to tons of friends.
It's a mystery why the Mystery box isn't used more
Now that you have tons of neighbors you must get them to send you mystery boxes and only mystery boxes. The reason is that you can get FishVille sand dollars as one of the prizes in the mystery box (about 1:15 chance). That means if you can get a constant stream of mystery boxes every day you're bound to get a small but regular stash of FishVille sand dollars.
Ha Harrrr! Get ye hands one as many Treasure Chests as ye can!
Treasure chests (and not the one with the rainbow) are another key to getting FishVille sand dollars for nothing. It is a little know fact that you can actually spin the wheel on other peoples treasure chests. All you have to do is visit your friends tanks with the treasure chests and take a crack at getting sand dollars.
