FarmVille's Facebook application boasts over 36 million active players each month. As a player, leveling up is important to moving up in the FarmVille world. You can take certain steps to earn more experience, or XP, points on the game. The more XPs you earn, the quicker you level up on FarmVille. Leveling up faster on the game requires a commitment to check out your farm on a consistent basis.
Instructions:
1) Add more Facebook friends as neighbors in the FarmVille application. The more neighbors you have, the more visits you can make to their farms. You can perform various chores around your friends' farms to gain XPs that help you to quickly level up.
2) Use as much land as possible for planting crops. Each time you harvest a crop, you earn XPs. Avoid buying unnecessary decorative items such as the fuel cart or statues. You can plant crops in the same location used to place these items.
3) Purchase expansions for your farm. Expansions give you more land on which to plant crops. Additional land is available for FarmVille coins.
4) Plant crops that yield a higher number of XPs in the smallest amount of time. For example, strawberries yield an XP every four hours. The daily payout for planting strawberries exceeds the two to three XPs offered for crops that take more than a day to ripen.
5) Complete quests or challenges in the allotted time. Occasionally, quests such as building a greenhouse or visiting a certain number of your friends' farms can net XPs.

How to Trap Your Farmville Farmer for Faster Harvesting
Farmville! It's fun and addicting, but it is also a huge time-sucker. It's fun to watch your little farmer run around the farm plowing, planting and harvesting, but when you need to harvest and replant in a hurry, you can follow these tips and save some time.
Instructions:
Things You'll Need:
Enough coins in your Farmville account to buy fence or hay bales
1) There are a few different ways to trap your farmer. If you are just starting out and you don't have a lot of coins, the cheapest way is to use hay bales. You need two hay bales from the market for this method. When you click on a corner of the farm, the farmer will move there. Once he is in the corner, click on a hay bale and then click move. Set the hay bale down next to the farmer, nice and close. Move the second hay bale so that it is touching the first and the farmer is closed in. That's all there is to it. go plant and harvest and the farmer can't move. you will need to move a hay bale and click in the corner each time you sign in to trap the farmer for that session.
2) If you have more coins and hay, you can trap the farmer in the square that he reports to at the beginning of each session. When you first sign in, the farmer shows up in the same square in the middle of the farm. If you have a crop planted there, delete it with the delete tool. Then move the farmer out of the square by clicking somewhere else. Next, move hay bales all around the edge of the square, leaving one bale out of a side. Click in the middle of the hay bale square to move the farmer back in. Move the last hay bale into place, and the farmer is trapped. The farmer will remain there in future sessions unless you move one of the hay bales to let him out.
3) My favorite method is to trap the farmer in the corral with the animals. I go in there to collect from them first anyway, so the farmer is usually right there. I left out one section of fence and I use 3 bales of hay in its place. I move one bale to let the farmer in and out. See the picture at the top of the article.

How to Speed Up FarmVille Harvesting and Planting
You won't be able to build a bigger and better farm in "FarmVille" if you don't spend time harvesting your plots and your neighbors' plots. However, watching your "FarmVille" character slowly traipse along as she goes about harvesting, plowing, or planting can extremely time-consuming and boring. You can rejigger your farm to speed up your "FarmVille" harvesting, plowing and planting so your playing experience is more fun.
Instructions:
Things You'll Need:
$1,200 in Coins
1) When you first log on to your farm you will notice that your character always starts at the center-most area of your "FarmVille" farm. Likewise, when you visit your neighbors' farms the same rule holds true.
2) In most cases the center-most area that your character occupies consists of one plot of the farm, but in some of the larger farm expansions it may be two plots. In either case, if the plot(s) are plowed or planted, you will need to dig them up so they are grass.
3) After digging up the plot(s) you will need to move your character out of the way so you can build a perimeter around the plot(s). The best way to do this is with bales of hay -- which you can obtain in the decorations category of the market for $100 coins each. It will take approximately 12 bales of hay to complete the perimeter. Place all but two of the hay bales around the perimeter, but DO NOT close it in yet.
4) Before closing the perimeter of hay bales you must place your character inside so he can be closed in.
5) After moving your character, place two more hay bales as such that it closes your character into the perimeter of the hay bales so he or she cannot get out.
6) Now your character is trapped in the perimeter of hay bales and cannot go about your farm. As such, he will no longer have to travel to any given area to harvest, plow or plant, and you can now achieve these things much faster. Likewise, when your neighbors visit your farm they will likewise be trapped in the hay bale perimeter; making it much more convenient to fertilize your crops.
7) Share this tip with your neighbors to help speed up your visits as well and your FarmVille playing times enhanced for everyone!

How to Speed Up FarmVille -- The Best Tip
FarmVille is a popular social networking game. When you begin playing, you must build your resources by caring for crops, trees and animals. Once you've gotten into the game, your focus can shift. If your game seems to be going slowly, it's almost certainly not your computer. It might be because you've got too much on hand.
Instructions:
Things You'll Need: FarmVille coins, Storage sheds
1) Reduce your livestock. The heart of the problem lies with your FarmVille animals and the fact that they are script programs that run through java script. Java script enables your Farmville animals to be animated, but when you have a lot of animals, the java script application bogs down your browser. There are two basic ways to cut your livestock to speed up your game.
2) Go to the Market and choose the "Building" tab. There you will see the various buildings that you can purchase, either with FarmVille dollars or coins. Purchase a chicken coop and store up to 20 of your chickens, then sell the rest of your chickens. Purchase as many Dairy Farms as needed to store your cows. Because you can obtain unlimited Dairy Farms, you will not have to sell any cows. Sell all of the rest of your animals. This will eliminate the scripting issues and you will be able to plant, plow and harvest with great speed.
3) Sell all of your animals. This might seem counter-productive, but remember that gaining higher levels in FarmVille is mainly done through harvesting crops, so your focus should be on planting and harvesting crops. You always can get animals from your FarmVille neighbors.
Tips & Warnings
If your new to the FarmVille game, save your resources by focusing primarily on getting cows and chickens and storing them in their respective buildings.
Remember that once you sell an animal you will be able to replace it later only by buying it or obtaining it from a neighbor.

How to Hatch More Good Mystery Eggs on Facebook Farmville
On Facebook FarmVille, the interactive farming game by Zynga, neighbors can feed chickens and try to hatch mystery eggs. Arrange the chicken coop on your FarmVille farm to increase the chances of hatching more good mystery eggs that will net better gifts for your neighbors. Neighbors can give you chicken as gifts and chickens are hatched from neighbors' mystery eggs. When a FarmVille farmer receives a chicken, it is customary to put the chicken in the chicken coop.
Instructions:
Things You'll Need: Facebook account, FarmVille farm, FarmVille neighbors, Chicken coop, Chickens
1) Log in to Facebook. Go to your FarmVille farm.
2) Take care of any farming chores at your farm, like brushing the cats or arranging new gifts from the Gifts Box.
3) Go to your chicken coop on your farm. Click on the chicken coop. Three options will appear: Look Inside, Move and Sell. Select "Look Inside."
4) Check to see what color chickens are nesting in your chicken coop; the four available colors are white, black, golden and brown. Next to the image of the chicken is an "X with a number. If it says X7, this means you have 7 of that color chicken in the chicken coop.
5) Check if you have extra chickens that will not fit in your chicken coop but are pecking at the ground on your FarmVille farm. Count how many you have that are black, golden or brown. Remove this same number of white chickens from your chicken coop. This makes room to put the black, golden and brown chickens in the chicken coop. Place the white chickens on the ground to eat the bugs.
6) Click on a black, golden or brown chicken on the ground and select "Move" to place this chicken in your chicken coop. Fill your chicken coop with black, golden and brown chickens. Put the white chickens on the ground. This process will net more "good" mystery eggs: rare black mystery eggs, treasured golden mystery eggs, and uncommon brown mystery eggs. These eggs hatch to reveal better gifts and better chickens that can in turn hatch more great mystery eggs.
Tips & Warnings
Visit FarmVille neighbors' farm every day to fertilize and feed their chickens. When you find a mystery egg, publish it on your Facebook home page so it shows up in the Live Feed. This allows your neighbors to have a chance to hatch a mystery egg for themselves.

How to Get Ribbons in Farmville
Farmville is an online game created by Zynga which is played through Facebook as of 2010. It is a social-networking game that relies heavily on interaction with neighbors, whom you can add from your Facebook friends. Players create an avatar farmer, then complete a wide variety of tasks to expand and develop their farms and earn rewards. Ribbons are just one of the awards or recognitions that players can earn from completing different tasks around their farms.
Instructions:
1) Choose the ribbon you wish to complete. Farmville is constantly adding and updating to the ribbons you can complete, so check back often to see whether a new ribbon has been added. You can see available ribbons by clicking on the icon with the blue ribbon on it in the bottom right corner of your Farmville screen. As of December 2010, there were 40 ribbons available.
2) Check your ribbon box to determine what level of ribbon you are on and whether you have completed any of the required tasks already. Because ribbons are given for completing many tasks, unless you are a brand new player, you have probably already worked toward or even earned many ribbons. For each ribbon category, there are four levels: yellow, white, red, and blue. Your ribbon box will tell you which you have completed and what you need to do to get to the next level.
3) Begin completing tasks to work toward your goal. This will be different for every ribbon you try to complete. For example, to complete the Fenced In Ribbon, you must place fences on your farm: five for the Yellow Ribbon, 50 (additional) for the White Ribbon, 100 (additional) for the Red Ribbon, and 250 (additional) for the Blue Ribbon. Each time you earn a ribbon, you get a reward, in the form of XP, coins, or decorations. As you work toward your ribbon, your ribbon box will contain a continually updated status on your progress.
Tips & Warnings
The ease of earning ribbons varies widely, depending on your playing personality and level. For example, someone with a lot of friends might very quickly earn the Local Celebrity Ribbon, while a person who enjoys growing a lot of crops on his farm might quickly complete the Need For Seed Ribbon. Choose ribbon missions based on your skills.
