Collecting Your CityVille Hotel VIP Rewards

Collecting your CityVille Hotel VIP rewards is an important part of the game, but a lot of players don't understand the process - or the value. The Beach Hotel is probably one of the most intriguing challenges ever added to the game and it's keeping a lot of players on their toes this summer. If you're one of them, read on to find out why collecting your CityVille Hotel VIP rewards is so important - and what you need to do to get them.

When you first check into your neighbor's CityVille Hotel, you're offered an opportunity to upgrade to a higher floor. The first upgrade costs 1500 coins and the second costs, if your neighbor has upgraded, costs 5,000. With both of these upgrades you can earn valuable rewards - goods, experience points, decorations or resort businesses.

All of the rewards at this level are well worth the 1500 coin investment. Experience points help you level up faster and you get that energy boost with each level. Decorations, especially these decorations, help increase the payouts around your Hotel. And the resort businesses are great tourist attractions which help increase the number of tourists who check in.

You're also offered the opportunity to upgrade to VIP status and the benefit is that it costs you nothing extra. In fact, you can skip the first upgrade, save your coins, and go straight for VIP.

However, before you're granted that VIP room, the hotel owner has to approve your request and this is where most players lose out. After you request a VIP upgrade, the hotel owner will see a message inside their hotel and they must click on that approval button to grant you that upgrade. When that happens, a message is posted on your wall stating that your neighbor thinks you're a VIP. You then need to click on that message and return to that hotel to accept the upgrade. If you don't, you don't get the additional reward.

Once the guest returns to check in again, the number of check-ins increases and the guest is awarded a prize from the same pool of prizes. If you receive duplicate businesses there's nothing that says you can't have more than one spa in CityVille. And how many times have you wished you could find just 500 more Goods to stock those last 3 businesses or just 5 more Experience Points so you could get that much-needed energy upgrade?

How To Collect VIP Rewards At Any CityVille Beach Hotel

The recent release of the CityVille Beach Hotel has a lot of players up in arms. Other than their regular non-informative guide, Zynga really hasn't posted anything about how to use these Hotels, leaving it up to the player to discover for themselves. After all, the challenge is part of the fun, right? There are two ways of looking at these new businesses - as the Hotel owner and as one of the guests. Either way, you benefit, as long as you understand how they work.

When you visit your neighbors' cities, you have the option of checking into their Hotel and you have the choice of 3 levels. You can remain on the first floor at no charge. You can upgrade to the second floor for 1500 Coins. Or you can ask to be upgraded to a VIP guest for a room on the top floor.

The upgrade to the second floor costs 1500 Coins but you will receive a Reward. Typically it's either a few Experience points or Coins or maybe a fancy tree. But there are other prizes as well. None, however, that are worth 1500 Coins. So what's the point? Why should you pay 1500 Coins for an upgrade only to get 30 Coins or a tiny, little tree in exchange?

If you don't pay for that first upgrade, to the second floor, you can't ask for an upgrade to VIP status - and THAT'S where the BIG prizes are found!

Upgrading to VIP status, though, is the major source of confusion. So let's go step-by-step:

Visit your neighbor's city.
Click on their CityVille Beach Hotel.
Click on the Check In button.
Click on the Upgrade button (this costs 1500 Coins).
Click on the Request for VIP status button (this costs nothing extra).

Now, the most important step:

Watch your Facebook Wall for a response. If your neighbor is currently playing CityVille and he's watching his Wall, he'll see your request for VIP status. He'll have to go into his own Hotel and approve you and when he does, you'll see a message on YOUR Facebook Wall that so-and-so has granted you VIP Status.

Important! At this point, when you see that message on your Wall, you need to click on that message and go BACK to your neighbor's hotel. Click on the hotel and click on Accept VIP Upgrade - otherwise you'll remain on the Second floor and you'll have wasted those 1500 Coins.

After you click on the 'Accept Upgrade' button, you'll see the prizes start to spin on the left side of the screen. THIS is where you win the big prizes with the CityVille Beach Hotel. But, if you don't remember to watch your Facebook Wall and go BACK to the Hotel to check in as a VIP then you'll never see those prizes.

The rewards you gain from each of your VIP acceptances will vary but a lot of them are little businesses that would go great in a resort area - and they're very profitable. For example, one of the rewards is a Spa. After you've placed it and built it, the Spa yields 100 Coins. And each time you harvest, it yields a minimum of 749 Coins. Depending on the size of your City and how well you keep your Spa stocked, you could be harvesting this little business every 10 minutes. After 2 harvests you'll have regained your initial 1500 Coins that you paid for that Hotel room upgrade.

Now that you know the benefits of visiting your neighbors' CityVille Beach Hotels, make it a point to start checking in every time you see a vacancy. You'll be helping your neighbor's City, but you'll also be helping yours at the same time.

How To Get Maximum Benefits From Your CityVille Beach Hotel

The new CityVille Beach Hotel can seem very confusing. Where best to place it? How to get guests to check in? When and how do you harvest? And, most important, is it really worth the effort? Once you understand how to use this new business you'll see it's not as complicated as it first appears.

Placing and building your new Hotel is easy enough. Just like any other business, one you've placed it and built the structure, you just need to ask you friends and neighbors for the five items necessary to complete the building process.

Before you can open your Hotel for business, you need to stock it and you'll need 500 Goods. That sounds like a lot of Goods to start with, but don't worry - it's well worth it.

Now that you have your CityVille Beach Hotel stocked, you can advertise your vacancies and start letting guests check in. To do that, click on your Hotel and then click on the link that says 'Invite'. This lets your CityVille neighbors know you're open for business so they can start checking in and you can issue this invitation once every four hours.

Before you can harvest your Hotel you're going to need 500 Guests. Some of those Guests will be your neighbors but others will be your city's residents and tourists from the Cruise Ship. And, just like in real life, people like to stay in hotels that have activities nearby.

To get the maximum benefit from your CityVille Beach Hotel:

Stock your Hotel: You must stock your Hotel with 500 Goods before you can open for business.

Invite and add neighbors: The bulk of your Guests will be your neighbors and you can only invite them once every 4 hours. If you don't have many neighbors, it's going to take you a while to get to that 500 Guest mark so you can harvest your Hotel. If you want to progress faster, you're going to need to add some more neighbors.

Place businesses around your Hotel: Place plenty of businesses in the immediate vicinity of your Hotel. When you hover your cursor over your Hotel, you'll see a green circle that indicates the best placement for other businesses. The businesses you place within that circle will all show marked sales increases as they attract tourists from the Cruise Ship and CityVille business people - as long as they're well stocked. Some of these people, as they pass by your Hotel, will check in and become Guests.

Keep those surrounding businesses well stocked: The businesses surrounding your Hotel will do brisk sales - so much so, in fact, you'll be hard pressed to keep them stocked with Goods. However, if you let them sell completely out, and you don't replenish, then you'll have no guests checking into your Hotel. Remember, just like in real life, nobody likes to stay in a Hotel if there's nothing in the area for entertainment or shopping.

Receive Cruise Ships: Now that you have a Hotel in your city, you'll be surprised to see a huge crowd of people exiting your Cruise Ships and heading directly for that shopping district which surrounds your Hotel. Be sure to have all of your shops stocked before you receive the ship and it's even a good idea to have plenty of Goods in storage so you can quickly restock while everyone's still in a buying mood.

Harvest and restock: Once you reach the level of 500 Guests the Coin icon will appear above your Hotel and this means it's ready for harvest. When you harvest your CityVille Beach Hotel you're going to collect 2500 Coins. But you're also going to release 500 Guests out into your City. These Guests will be stopping in all of your shops and businesses so make sure everything in your City is well stocked before check out time.

The success of your CityVille Beach Hotel relies on two things, really: lots of neighbors who will visit your city and become Guests and lots of well stocked businesses for your Guest to spend money in. If you have those two things, then all you have to do is sit back and watch the Coins come pouring in!

How To Get More Tourists For Your CityVille Hotel

It's tourist season in CityVille and your hotel should be packed, but when you open the doors you can hear crickets in the halls. You've done everything you can think of to get more guests but you still have to harvest 14 more times before you can upgrade. It seems like a never-ending battle! How can you get more tourists for your CityVille hotel so you can accomplish your upgrade goals and be done with it?!

Take a look at the placement of your hotel. There are two places where it's most profitable to locate your inn and that's either near the beach or near your cruise ship. Locating your hotel anywhere else in your city is a death sentence for sure. In a real city, tourists congregate near the beach and the waterfront. So your CityVille beach is a big tourist attraction and, when you release your Cruise Ship, tourists flock into your city.

Do you have plenty of businesses and attractions surrounding your hotel? Think about what tourists do when they visit a real city - they look for shopping and entertainment. The amusement park attractions that are currently being released are a great draw and you can get some of them free by completing quests. Not only do they attract tourists to your hotel, but they also provide increased payouts when you harvest your hotel.

Surrounding your hotel with the right businesses is important. You need to keep those businesses stocked at all times. If not, your tourists will go elsewhere to shop and they won't stay in the area of your hotel.

The problem is energy. In CityVille, the energy crunch is on and it's always in short supply. Trying to keep all those shops surrounding your hotel stocked at all times requires a lot of additional energy. You have to spend energy to harvest those businesses and you have to spend energy harvesting crops to keep them supplied with goods.

To help ease the energy shortage, surround your hotel with businesses that use at least 130 goods. Don't bother with those little coffee shops and bakeries and diners - unless you're trying to upgrade them faster, too. Instead, concentrate on using business that need a lot of goods and take longer to harvest. This way, you'll always have open businesses around your CityVille hotel and the tourists will stay in that area and become guests.

Top 3 Tips For CityVille Hotel Placement

In order to be successful with your CityVille Hotel, placement is your most important consideration. If you're trying to complete the challenges so you can get your upgrades in then don't worry about how it looks or where YOU think it should be positioned in your city. The one thing that matters most in any business is location, location, location. And Zynga has already determined the best placement for your CityVille hotel.

Place Your CityVille Hotel In One Of These Two Places
When you think about a real luxury hotel in a real city, it's generally located in the middle of a high traffic area with lots of shopping, restaurants, and attractions. And the number one attraction in any city is water. Zynga has designed the game so that the two most profitable, high-traffic areas for your hotel are the beach area at the end of the Bridge Extension or on the waterfront nearest your Cruise Ship. It doesn't matter whether you think it looks nice in those locations and it doesn't matter that you'd rather have it near the wooded area on the back side of your city. What does matter is that you will get a lot more traffic, resulting in a lot more check-ins, if you place your hotel in one of these two locations. And, the more check-ins you get, the faster you can harvest and complete those upgrade goals.

Surround Your Hotel With High-Yield Businesses
Businesses attract tourists to your hotel and the more of them you have surrounding your hotel the faster you'll hit that upgrade goal. However, it's important that you place the right businesses because you're going to have to harvest and fill them frequently. Use businesses that need at least 140 or more Goods so you won't have to harvest as frequently. Otherwise, you'll never be able to keep up with the energy demands.

Take Advantage Of The Free Amusement Park Attractions And VIP Upgrades
If you're the type to ignore some of the challenges because you think the prizes just aren't worth the hassle, think again. The Amusement Park challenges yield free attractions that help increase tourism in the area of your hotel. Not to mention the fact that they also add to the hotel payout when it's time to harvest. When you upgrade to a VIP room at your neighbor's hotel you can also receive rewards in the form of resort-type businesses - a spa, a racquetball court, a mud bath, a driving range, yoga, etc. These resort businesses also increase hotel traffic and add to your payout.

As you can see, the game is designed just like a real city. Proper placement of your CityVille Hotel not only increases your payouts but it also increases the traffic, enabling you to upgrade that much faster.

Top 3 Tips To Upgrade Your CityVille Beach Hotel Faster

This summer, everyone is looking for tips to help upgrade their CityVille Beach Hotel faster. Zynga certainly has presented us with a great challenge this time around - one that might just take the entire summer to complete. But there are some folks who've already completed their upgrades and moved on to bigger and better things. If you're still trying to get past this challenge, then read on for the top 3 tips to upgrade your CityVille Beach Hotel faster.

Get those businesses placed: You're required to place 5 businesses around your hotel and these businesses need to be placed within the green circle that surrounds the hotel. Get those 5 placed as quickly as possible, even if you have to move them from another part of your city.

But don't stop at five. The businesses around your hotel are what help attract tourists to the area and a good number of those tourists will want to check in for the night. Place as many businesses as you can within that circle and place a few more just outside. Each time you upgrade your hotel, that circle of influence expands. If you already have the businesses in place you'll be one step ahead and those additional businesses will help increase the tourist traffic in the area of your hotel.

Gather up your supplies: For each upgrade you'll need a certain number of items and you'll need to get those items from your neighbors. You can see the items you'll need by clicking on the Upgrade tab inside your hotel. Don't wait until the last minute to start rounding them up. Start sending out requests right now so that when you've reached the required number of harvests you'll have everything you need to just click the button and upgrade.

Manage your energy: In order to keep the tourist traffic moving in the area of your hotel, you'll need to keep all of those businesses stocked or the tourists will go elsewhere to shop. Keeping all of those businesses stocked means harvesting plenty of crops - which means spending extra energy. Plant long-term crops that yield higher goods and start stocking up a few silos or storage buildings - you're going to need it. And the best businesses to place around your hotel are those that use at least 130 or 140 Goods before you have to restock again.

Following these tips will help you upgrade your CityVille Beach Hotel faster and, once you do, you'll really start to see the coins come in.

Upgrading Your CityVille Hotel

Just in time to heat up your Summertime fun, the CityVille Hotel landed on the beach, and nothing will ever be the same! This has to be one of the best features Zynga has ever added to the game. And, perhaps, one of the most challenging. As with a lot of the other businesses, as you upgrade your CityVille Beach Hotel it becomes more and more profitable. But, OH! What it takes to accomplish those upgrades!

First you have to place your Hotel and build it. It takes 7 Energy Points to construct and then you need to find a few special items before you can open the doors: 8 Slippers or Bath Robes, 8 Beach Towels, 5 Toiletries, 5 Satin Pillows and 5 Sunglasses. And if that wasn't enough, now you'll have to stock your Hotel with 500 Goods in order to get the place up and running.

Now comes the hard part - working toward your first upgrade. Before you can accomplish the first upgrade to a High Price Hotel, you have to harvest your Hotel 10 times. You'll need to have 500 guests check in for each harvest. You'll also need to collect even more items from your friends and neighbors and you'll have to place at least 5 businesses around your Hotel.

If that sounds a little daunting, wait until you see what you need to do for the next upgrade!

After you've upgraded to a High Price Hotel you'll need to harvest your Hotel 25 times before you can upgrade again. (Don't worry though - you're first 10 harvests count toward this goal.) And now, you'll need 1,000 guests before you can harvest and you'll need 1,000 Goods to restock each time. Not to mention you'll also need to request the following items from your friends and neighbors: 8 Beach Towels, 8 Building Grants, 8 Toiletries, 9 Beach Cabanas and 15 Slippers.

Getting those 1,000 guests seems like a pretty stiff requirement but if you completely surround your Hotel with businesses and keep them stocked at all times you'll see that number climb quickly.

Is it worth all this trouble to upgrade your CityVille Hotel? You bet! Not only do your surrounding business make more coins faster, but you'll earn a minimum of 4,650 coins each time you harvest the Hotel itself. Add in the premium you'll earn with a few well-placed decorations and the sky's the limit.

But who really cares about all that? It's all about the fun time you'll have completing this challenge and it's a great way to pass those lazy, hazy, crazy summer days!
