The new CityVille Beach Hotel can seem very confusing. Where best to place it? How to get guests to check in? When and how do you harvest? And, most important, is it really worth the effort? Once you understand how to use this new business you'll see it's not as complicated as it first appears.
Placing and building your new Hotel is easy enough. Just like any other business, one you've placed it and built the structure, you just need to ask you friends and neighbors for the five items necessary to complete the building process.
Before you can open your Hotel for business, you need to stock it and you'll need 500 Goods. That sounds like a lot of Goods to start with, but don't worry - it's well worth it.
Now that you have your CityVille Beach Hotel stocked, you can advertise your vacancies and start letting guests check in. To do that, click on your Hotel and then click on the link that says 'Invite'. This lets your CityVille neighbors know you're open for business so they can start checking in and you can issue this invitation once every four hours.
Before you can harvest your Hotel you're going to need 500 Guests. Some of those Guests will be your neighbors but others will be your city's residents and tourists from the Cruise Ship. And, just like in real life, people like to stay in hotels that have activities nearby.
To get the maximum benefit from your CityVille Beach Hotel:
Stock your Hotel: You must stock your Hotel with 500 Goods before you can open for business.
Invite and add neighbors: The bulk of your Guests will be your neighbors and you can only invite them once every 4 hours. If you don't have many neighbors, it's going to take you a while to get to that 500 Guest mark so you can harvest your Hotel. If you want to progress faster, you're going to need to add some more neighbors.
Place businesses around your Hotel: Place plenty of businesses in the immediate vicinity of your Hotel. When you hover your cursor over your Hotel, you'll see a green circle that indicates the best placement for other businesses. The businesses you place within that circle will all show marked sales increases as they attract tourists from the Cruise Ship and CityVille business people - as long as they're well stocked. Some of these people, as they pass by your Hotel, will check in and become Guests.
Keep those surrounding businesses well stocked: The businesses surrounding your Hotel will do brisk sales - so much so, in fact, you'll be hard pressed to keep them stocked with Goods. However, if you let them sell completely out, and you don't replenish, then you'll have no guests checking into your Hotel. Remember, just like in real life, nobody likes to stay in a Hotel if there's nothing in the area for entertainment or shopping.
Receive Cruise Ships: Now that you have a Hotel in your city, you'll be surprised to see a huge crowd of people exiting your Cruise Ships and heading directly for that shopping district which surrounds your Hotel. Be sure to have all of your shops stocked before you receive the ship and it's even a good idea to have plenty of Goods in storage so you can quickly restock while everyone's still in a buying mood.
Harvest and restock: Once you reach the level of 500 Guests the Coin icon will appear above your Hotel and this means it's ready for harvest. When you harvest your CityVille Beach Hotel you're going to collect 2500 Coins. But you're also going to release 500 Guests out into your City. These Guests will be stopping in all of your shops and businesses so make sure everything in your City is well stocked before check out time.
The success of your CityVille Beach Hotel relies on two things, really: lots of neighbors who will visit your city and become Guests and lots of well stocked businesses for your Guest to spend money in. If you have those two things, then all you have to do is sit back and watch the Coins come pouring in!
