CityVille: More Chinese New Year Items Celebrate Asian Culture

As we predicted just a few short days ago, CityVille has received yet another update in the Chinese New Year theme, bringing five new items to the game's store. There's only one item here available for coins, rather than City Cash, but it's a fun house with a fairly large population (when considering the price), so it's worth taking a look at all the same. Here's a complete rundown of these five new items, which will be available in the game's store for the next two weeks.

Tai Chai Academy (Community Building)
Costs: 70 City Cash
Allows: 4,750 citizens added to maximum population cap

Woo House (Home)
Costs: 50 City Cash
Population: 1,000-1,960
Rent: 299 coins every 18 hours

Li's Lanterns (Business)
Costs: 35 City Cash
Requires: 283 Goods
Earns: 1,549 coins
Firework Display (Decoration)
Costs: 25 City Cash

Payout Bonus: 25% to surrounding homes and businesses; bonus 25% to Chinese theme

Chan Cottage (Home)
Costs: 20,000 coins
Population: 190-370
Rent: 234 coins every eight hours

If you're not interested in spending this much City Cash now, you can always hold out a few days to see if these items go on sale. Since they are technically associated with a holiday, it's possible that we'll see them placed on sale just as other holiday items often are before they're finally removed from the store. Still, don't depend on that happening as a guarantee. Either way, we'll make sure to let you know if this theme continues to grow with new items, so keep checking back with us!

CastleVille Embrace the Cold of Winter With New Ice Items

It's cold outside, and in CastleVille too! Instead of running from the cold, and covering up in warm blankets or standing next to a fireplace, why not embrace it, at least virtually, and purchase some of the many ice-themed items available in the market? We're here with a complete look at these items, so follow along as we go through them!

Cute Yeti Hat - 10 Crowns
Fluffy Yeti Blouse - 8 Crowns
Fuzzy Yeti Skirt - 8 Crowns
Hairy Yeti Hat - 10 Crowns
Hairy Yeti Legs - 8 Crowns
Hairy Yeti Suit - 8 Crowns
Iced Carriage - 10 Crowns
Frozen Cottage - 32 Crowns
Frozen Farmhouse - 35 Crowns
Pink Mink - 40 Crowns
White Mink - 40 Crowns
Yeti Tracks - 2,000 coins

Unfortunately, the Yeti Tracks are the only item available for coins thus far in this ice theme. While we're not sure when exactly this "limited time" event will end, I wouldn't be surprised if additional items (specifically coin items) launched before all is said and done. We'll make sure to let you know if and when that does happen, so keep checking back!

How to Get Independence Day Edition Items in FrontierVille

FrontierVille" is an online game available exclusively on Facebook that allows you to build a town against the backdrop of the Old West. Collecting certain items within the game allows you to cash in completed collections for decorative items or other items needed to play the game. By performing certain tasks around your homestead, you can collect all the items needed to complete the Independence Day collection. You can then trade in the Independence Day collection for a liberty bell.

Instructions:

1) Tend to the chickens on your "FrontierVille" homestead to collect the cannonball needed to complete the Independence Day collection.

2) Clobber the animals that appear as you tend to your crops and trees. Animals such as snakes and groundhogs can net a snare drum for your collection.

3) Collect the bonuses from various buildings on your homestead to garner the tricorner hat. Buildings such as the log cabin, the general store and saloon offer daily bonuses.

4) Clear grass and tend to trees on your homestead to collect the Independence Day tea crate and powder horn.

Tips & Warnings

Task may need to be performed several times to net the collection items.
