How to Get Your FarmVille Chickens to Lay You a Mystery Egg

After a while playing on FarmVille you are bound to want to add to the interest and activities available on your farm. Although it is all very well planting and harvesting crops over and over again to try and get more coins and thus level up more quickly, you will eventually find it all starts to become a little monotonous. Fortunately there are lots of other aspects to the game to make play a lot more enjoyable and interesting. One of the fun things you can do is getting a chicken coop for your farm, subsequently raising FarmVille chickens and harvesting their eggs including mystery eggs!

You will find there are four basic types of FarmVille chickens. These are brown chickens, white chickens, black chickens and golden chickens. You may have come across them when your neighbors have offered them as gifts. To start with people often let them just wander around their farm. However you will find that by purchasing a chicken coop and placing the chickens inside it can be a lot more rewarding even though the coop can cost you 5000 coins.

By keeping your FarmVille chickens in the coop you will be able to control the egg laying and egg collecting more easily since they are all in one place. This means in turn you are more likely to find a mystery egg particularly if you add different colored chickens to your coop. Generally chickens will lay eggs that produce chickens the same color as the ones that laid the egg. However occasionally you will come across a Mystery Egg which will reward you with a prize.

Some times you will receive straightforward fuel refills which are useful for harvesting more quickly. At other times you will find these prizes can be somewhat strange. You may receive things like gold gnomes, groovy scarecrows, ponds, flamingos, tree swings, fire pits, cottages and other prizes. All prizes are great to have and can be really useful or just fun.

Now here is a tip to improve your chances of receiving one of those fascinating mystery eggs. The whole idea is to harvest as many eggs as you can. That way of course you stand more chance of there being one or more mystery eggs amongst the harvest. The speed of harvest and time to lay is dependent on the very first chicken that you place inside the coop. So what you should do is first of all empty the coop.

Next add your but initially you should make sure that the first chicken you put back in is one that is all ready to be harvested. Then put the rest of the chickens in the coop. You will find you can add up to twenty chickens to a coop at once so do add the maximum allowed. Then you simply harvest and repeat. In that way you will find yourself harvesting plenty of eggs and thus greatly improve your chances of getting a mystery egg and all the consequent fun and benefits of the particular prize that comes with it.
