You can buy a puppy on Facebook's game FarmVille, but you have to feed it or it will run away. FarmVille dogs first made an appearance in April of 2010. In the FarmVille application, you can raise animals and care for them with the help of your friends who also use the application. You can feed your dog by buying it kibble or by asking friends to send some kibble to you so that you can feed your dog without spending FarmVille money.

1) Purchase feed at the market for five Farm Cash or ask friends to send you some kibble. Friends who send you kibble get 100 coins for doing so.
2) Mouse over your dog. If he is hungry, select "Feed" from the dog's pulldown menu and feed him the kibble. A timer will start.
3) Feed your dog every 24 hours or it will run away and you will have to pay to take it out of the pound. You will have to feed your dog for 14 days.
