CastleVille Animals
Will animals die if you do not feed them?
Animals in CastleVille will not die if you do not feed them. If they are not adults yet they will not grow until you feed them.
Why do my neighbours in CastleVille have animals that I can't see in the market?
Some animals you will get from quests, some were only available for a limited time in store and you can not get them at the moment.
I have to move animals for the quest, how do I do that?
Click on the design mode in the menu (green cross) and select move. Click on the animal to move it.
Why can't I collect materials from my animals in CastleVille?
Your animals are probably not adults yet. Animals only give materials when they are fully grown. Some materials are common and you will get them almost every time you feed your animal, some are more rare and you will only be getting them seldom.
Animal Feeding Times in CastleVille
How can I make my animals grow up faster?
You can either accelerate their "hunger" - so that they are ready to feed again by paying crowns or you can use Animal treats which can be purchased with reputation hearts from the market or crafted. Each animal treat will reduce the feeding time by 30 minutes.
How many times do I need to feed the chicken in CastleVille for it to grow up, become adult?
You will need to feed the chicken 12 times in order for it to grow from chick to full size chicken, intervals between each feeding are 10 minutes.
How many times do I need to feed the cows in CastleVille for them to grow up, become adult?
You will need to feed the cow 16 times for it do become adult. You can feed cows every 30 minutes.
How many times do I need to feed the sheep in CastleVille for them to grow up, become adult?
You will need to feed the sheep16 times for them to grow up. You can feed the sheep every 60 minutes.
How many times do I need to feed the peacock in CastleVille for them to grow up, become adult?
You will need to feed the peacock 16 times. They can be feed every 2 hours.
How many times do I need to feed the goose in CastleVille for them to grow up, become adult?
16 times. Goose can be feed every 6 hours.
How many times do I need to feed the pig for them to grow up, become adult?
Pigs need 28 feedings. You can feed them every 3 hours
How many times do I need to feed the mink in CastleVille for them to grow up, become adult?
Minks need 16 feeds to grow up and can be feed every 9 hours.
How to groom animals?
When you visit your neighbours there are some animals that are not "hungry" (no yellow arrow), these animals can be groomed.

What do you need to build the throne room?
You need 4 stone blocks, 7 gold bricks and 5 cotton cloth.
What do you need to build a clockmaker?
You need 10 wood planks, 15 stone blocks, 1 angle finder, 5 iron bars.
CastleVille Characters
CastleVille characters (Ywette, Rafael, Sonja, Alastair, George) do not give any quests?
You have sucesfully finished a series of quests. Some quests need others to be completed first so until that quest is complete characters will not give you additional quests.
Ywette, Rafael, Sonja, Alastair or George want a gift?
This is an action in between quests. You will get a reward (coins) if you give them gifts but this has no effect on future quests. If you decide to not give them gifts nothing will happen.
What will I get if I gift Ywette, Rafael, Sonja, Alastair or George?
You will get coins!
Can I change my characters gender CastleVille?
Yes, you can.
CastleVille Crops
Will crops whither if I don't harvest them?
Yes they will.
Can unwither crops?
Yes. There are two ways to unwither them, one is to wait for one of your neighbours to tend them the other is to craft and use Bubbly Grog in the kitchen.
What are irrigated crops?
Irrigated crops are crops that grow near water (well, river...). You will know that your crops is irrigated when the field is covered with water.
CastleVille Nature
Will trees grow back?
Not on their own they wont. But you can craft Flaming Grog and use it to restore your trees.
Where can I get pinecones?
You get them by watering pine tree saplings.
Where can I find diamond?
Diamonds are quite rare, you might get them by gathering stones.
Where can I get rubies?
Rubies are not as rare as diamonds but you will also need some luck to get them, they are as diamonds obtained by gathering stones.
Where can I find silver?
Silver is quite common, you will get it by gathering stones or collecting from mines.
Where can I get iron ore?
You get it quite often when collecting from mine. You can also ask your friends for it.
Why can't I clear roots?
Roots give materials that you will need in quests, so they are not removed by your characters actions, if you do not like them you can sell them.

Can I skip quests in CastleVille?
Yes and no. You can skip the quest if you pay crowns for its completion, other than that there is no way to skip the quest.
What happens if I postpone a quest in CastleVille?
Nothing really. The quest will be removed from "the quest" list on the right until you click the character and accept it again.
How to get materials for quests?
Some materials you will get by planting and harvesting crops, some you will get by tending your animals, some by visiting neighbours. A lot of materials you will need to craft. Some of them can only be obtained by your friends - CastleVille neighbours.
What happens if I do not finish the limited time quest / if quest expires?
Nothing. Limited time quests have no effect on game play although they usually come with limited, exclusive rewards and are certainly worth completing.

Special treats are used in crafting in beastie laboratory, you get them by banishing beasties or by asking friends!
