How to help the governor in CityVille? This is one of your first goals in the game so what are you supposed to do? Does it make a difference as to how you do it?
What Is This Goal?
CityVille frequently gives you goals to complete. At the beginning, they are a bit like a tutorial but they become greater challenges as you level up. Actually, this particular goal is not really much of a challenge at all.
By calling it "Help The Governor", it just means that the fictional character called "The Governor" wants you to do a task for him.
How To Help The Governor
He wants you to plant a city flag in your town. This is one of those large flagpoles with a huge flag attached that shows everyone in your city that, although new, it is well under way to becoming a megalopolis! You can access this flag by going to the "Build" button and clicking it and then choosing "Decorations" where you can find the city flag. It costs 50 coins to buy. Many people think this flag has only symbolic value but that is not true. Did you know that it can even boost your coins and experience?
Decorations Are More Than Just Pretty
Decorations are very important in CityVille. They don't just look nice but they also boost the income of nearby buildings. For example, they boost the rent of your houses and they boost the income from your businesses. When you place the flagpole or any other decoration then you will notice that before you choose the final position of your decoration that the game will show which nearby buildings will benefit and by how much their income will get boosted.
Automatically, the city flag boosts income by 1%. If you have many decorations clustered together then you will get an even bigger boost. I recommend grouping some flower beds around your city flag and putting all of these next to several buildings to get the most benefit.
