The first thing to do is utilize every possible area of your farm for profit. The game is designed to help the user turn a profit, and the easiest way to do this is to utilize the areas. The next thing to do is plant the plants that will yield the most cash. Some plants cost almost as much as the return, so these are not the best crops. It can get very tiresome to click through one square at a time. The larger the farm gets, the more clicking is required. There are several ways to cut down on this tedium. The first is to plant several different crops that harvest at different times. Not only will this yield more overall profit, you will also not get bored!
Another option is to invest in a tractor and seeder. This will nicely plant each crop four squares at a time, significantly reducing your workload and clicking.
