FrontierVille" is a game or "app" that is played through FaceBook. Ribbons are required in the game to attain certain goals. Progression in the game requires you to attain the goals, so ribbons are a necessary part of the game. You can get by without them for a while, but eventually it will catch up with you and your progression will stop. If you do not have a lot of "neighbors" or neighbors who "gift," it can be difficult to amass the ribbons you need to progress.
Instructions:
1) Receive ribbons as "gifts" from friends and neighbors who play the game. Go into your barn and click on the small gift at the bottom of the ribbon displayed in the lower-left corner; this will send a ribbon to your friends. When you send ribbons to your friends, it suggests that they send one back.
2) Add the ribbon to your wish list by going into your barn and clicking the small green "plus" sign on the bottom of the ribbon in the lower-left corner. When your friends visit your farm they will then know that you need ribbons.
3) Buy ribbons in the market, under "Specials." The cost is four horseshoes apiece. You only earn one horseshoe each time you level up, so they take time to accumulate. You can purchase horseshoes by going to the market and clicking on "Add Horseshoes" up at the top. These will cost you real money, not FrontierVille dollars. The price varies, and they frequently have sales.
