Farmville Spreadsheet & Harvesting Tips

How to make the most profit out of your crops. You may be the type of Farmville player who likes to go into the game blindly, planting and harvesting whatever plants and crops appeal to you at the time without properly calculating the the overall harvesting benefits of each plant first.

Well, I don't blame you! You just want to get on with the game and do the best you can! Here is a helpful guide which shows all Farmville plants and their harvesting profitability. This is arranged in a Weekly Profit order, where the first item is least profitable and the last being the most profitable plant over a one-week period.

Let's run through each column.

Cost
This is the cost of each of the seeds plus the 15 coins for plowing. For example, you will find that wheat is actually 35 coins in the game, we have listed it at 50 coins to include plowing.

Sell
This is the coin amount that each plant can be sold or harvested for. A plant can only be harvested after it has fully grown.

Harvesting Time
This is the time it takes for the plant to fully grow from when you first plant them until you can harvest. This is listed in hours and days.

Weekly Profit
This is the profit you will gain in a whole week. This is assuming you are harvesting and re-buying the seeds right after the harvesting time is up for that particular crop.

In my Farmville spreadsheet you will see that the tomato comes out on top for the overall weekly profit if harvested and re-planted religiously every 6 hours. Of course, for most of you this would be impossible to maintain. But a high rate of of profit can still be achieved by harvesting of tomatoes fairly regularly.

An interesting fact is if you WERE to harvest the tomatoes every 6 hours for one week, and you planted say, 5 squares, this is $6600 in ONE WEEK. If you could only harvest them once every 12 hours on average, you would just need to plant 10 squares to reach the same profit margin.

Anyway, for people not able to harvest crops every 6 hours, the best profits would be in the Asparagus. These babies only need harvesting 16 hours and would give you 122 coins of pure profit per plant per harvest. Meaning, over a one week period 5 squares would give you 6400 coins profit.

You should be able to work out which crops will give you the most profit for you by using this table.
