Facebook has taken over electronic social networking globally, and its FarmVille game application is taking up Facebook users' free time. FarmVille is a wildly popular social networking game produced for Facebook by the Zynga browser-based game creating company. FarmVille is an easy, easy-to-learn game of building a farm from a small patch of earth. Some users call it adorable and deceptively addicting. To play FarmVille, you must be a Facebook user.

1) Type "FarmVille" into your Facebook search window. Zynga's FarmVille promotional page will pop up. Click on "Play Now." Read and accept the FarmVille user regulations. Now you're a farmer. You'll start with a small plot of green land ready for you to plant and harvest to earn coins and FarmVille dollars. Like FarmVille's earlier -- and more robust -- counterpart, Farm Town, the primary activity of this game is plowing fields, planting seeds, harvesting crops for coins, and decorating your farm.
2) Plow as many new patches of ground as you are able, using the Plow Tool option. As you gain levels, you will be able to plow more patches. Plowing costs you 15 coins but gains you 1 XP, or Experience Point. More XPs mean you can climb to higher levels and unlock more options, items in the Market and available gifts.
3) Click on the Market option to buy seeds to plant once your ground patches are plowed. Look for seeds that yield a lot of coins, and make sure you will be available to harvest them when they are ripe; crops left in the field will rot. Rotten crops can only be deleted, and your seed money will have gone to waste.
4) Harvesting ripe plants is easy. Once the crop is ready, just click on the plots to harvest them and put earned coins in your account. More harvesting will increase your levels and earn you Ribbons, such as Cream of the Crop. You can harvest animals and trees. Cows, geese, pigs and other livestock that you buy or receive as gifts can be harvested for their milk, feathers or other products, and trees yield fruit regularly. Simply wait until they are 100 percent ready, then click on them to harvest their product.
5) Invite your Facebook gaming friends to be your neighbor in FarmVille so you can visit them and earn coins for helping them on their farm. Neighbors are important in FarmVille. You can also send and receive free gifts to your FarmVille friends, which is a great way to decorate your farm for free!
6) Play daily to maximize your harvests and farm growth.
