Animals that wander onto a farm in the Facebook game "FarmVille" are known as "roaming" animals. The lost black kitten was added as one of these animals in October 2009. Three days after adopting the kitten, players can brush the kitten and harvest yarn. This rewards them 86 FarmVille coins and a "+1" in mastery. The black kitten typically appears on FarmVille farms around Halloween.
Instructions:
1) Watch your Facebook News Feed for a chance to adopt a black kitten. As Facebook members play FarmVille, they are offered opportunities to help find homes for animals that wander onto their farms. These opportunities appear as "Adoption Notices" on Facebook members' Walls and show up in your Most Recent updates.
2) Click the blue "Adopt Black Kitten" link at the bottom of the FarmVille player's Adoption Notice. This will forward you to the FarmVille application. A message containing information about the black kitten appears.
3) Agree to adopt the black kitten. Click "Give Home" to adopt the black kitten.
4) Look in your Gift Box to find the black kitten that you adopted. Click "Use" to place the black kitten on your farm.
Tips & Warnings
Wandering animals sometimes appear while you play FarmVille. When this occurs, a box will display, prompting you to give the animal a home. If this happens with the black kitten, you can add it to your farm this way.
