If you want to keep up with friends on Facebook but want to block "Farmville," a few simple clicks will clear up your news feed. "Farmville" requires that players post "updates" to their news feeds. To those not playing the game, these updates can be a nuisance. Luckily, you can easily block these game updates using the "hide" button.
Instructions:
1) Wait until you see a game update from any friend.
2) Hover your mouse over the top-right corner of the post, and you will see an "X" or "Hide" button. Click it.
3) Click the "Hide Farmville" option to completely block future Farmville posts.
4) Repeat this process for any additional games or applications you wish to block. You can also hide all posts from a particular friend using this same method.
